MindTouch Launches Open Source…

MindTouch, the wiki offering and enterprise solution, is getting ready to launch the Deki Wiki Hayes release, an open source wiki.

This is a wiki and a platform for developing collaborative applications. A huge value added aspect of Deki Hayes is its potential for non-technical end users to create content and application mashups. This is capable with the releases new “out of the box” extensions, which provides tools and certain aspects of applications from other services, such as Flickr, and more. You’re now able to very easily insert maps, directions, Flickr slideshows, individual images with effects, etc. It’s MYSQL integration remains safe, and is set up by admin for certain permissions that will protect the wiki from viruses and other security issues, and those with more technical knowledge can create very dynamic wiki pages quickly and with ease.
