Google’s decision to host syndicated news on its site vs. sending news items to individual newspaper sites has media pundits agreeing on the following:

It reduces traffic to newspaper sites, cutting ad revenues even further.
Causes doubt on the value of syndicated news since so much is available in so many places that they are commoditized fillers.
