I installed Deki Wiki on OS X and created some documentation. The only thing I did not include in there was how to START the Deki wiki process with launchd.

The command would be like:
#sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/

Yes, absolutely. You can install our VMware certified Deki Wiki package using VMware Fusion. VMware Fusion is free for 30 days--for some reason VMware charges for the MAC version of their software, but not on other platforms. Of course, we don't charge for our software, just support.

Alternatively, it is possible to install from source code on OSX. I'm not sure I would want to take this on ;-) though it can be done. If I recall correctly one of our engineers installed from source code on OSX a few versions ago. It's "possible", but there isn't any documentation for it other than this FreeBSD doc that's a version old:

http://wiki.opengarden.org/Deki_Wiki/Installation_and_Upgrade/1.7_Gooseberry_Official_Install_and_Upgrade_Guide/FreeBSD_6.1

There is a wealth of documentation for installing from source code on other platforms. Let us know if you get it running. :-)

Regarding the "open source, cross-platform" claim, how well does DekiWiki run on OSX 10.5 Server? I'd love to try it, currently running MediaWiki. But my servers are OSX, and don't want to change platforms. I have not seen any installation guidelines for this OS.
