Two Clicks For Humanity: The Open Web Awards

MindTouch Deki Wiki has been nominated for the Open Web Awards, an event organized by Mashable!. Initially, when I heard this I thought: “Yah right, we stand a snowball’s chance in hell on this one.” In fact, I think I said this to Corey when he pointed out the nomination to me. :-) Well, color me surprised!

Don’t get me wrong, our tech has the baddest-ass Kung Fu and it certainly does make sense that we would be considered given we’re free and OPEN source, adhere to OPEN standards and have a 99 method REST-based OPEN API. I guess, cynical me, assumed that these kinds of things do not go to the organically, word of mouth, marketed projects like MindTouch and instead would be the domain of the companies with the big PR budgets and an advisory board full of A-list bloggers. Turns out I was wrong. We’ve made it to the Top Ten! Holy crap. We’re all very flattered and if you’re a Gardener so should you be. You’re mostly responsible after all. If you haven’t voted, please do so, and please help spread the word to others about voting. Voting will take you (literally) 2 seconds.

  2. Scroll down, Click “MindTouch Deki Wiki”
  3. Bask in the glory of knowing that you’ve just made two-clicks for humanity ;-)

Thank you for the support!
