Really, you think so? Come on, Java and Mono are incredibly easy to install. I can't agree that either is any more difficult to install than PHP, Python, or (God forbid) Perl. Now, I will agree that Tomcat can be a bit of a chore to setup, but aside from this I just don't see how any is more difficult than the other. Have you installed either recently? There are RPMs and installers for every major distro and OS.</description>

		<description>This strikes me as a case of the pot calling the kettle black.  From an end user point of view, both Java and C# are a pain to deploy and manage, in particular on Linux or in hosted environments.  The easiest to deploy is probably PHP, followed by Perl and Python applications.</description>
