RESTful IPA update: secondary fermentation

The MindTouch RESTful IPA has completed it’s primary fermentation stage at specific gravity of 1.016@72F or 1.017 adjusted. That’s 6.9% Alcohol by Volume, but I fully expect the gravity to drop down a couple more notches by bottling time.

Dry-Hop

It is already a mighty tasty and hoppy brew, and it’s only going to pick up more aroma as the secondary fermentation is being dry-hopped.

  • 2oz. Simcoe plugs

This should give it that over the top flowery hop aroma that SDPA’s are so renowned for. One week of dry-hop secondary fermentation and then it’s time for bottling. So except to see some pictures of the label and bottles in next week’s update.

    Mui stupido!

Could you leave such crap out of the official MT-blogs, please? There’s enough spam around already and people are subscribing to this blog to get information about Mindtouch & their product Deki. Not about beer brewery or what else somebody might do in his spare time.
That would be something for a private blog, but not for a company blog, guys! Thanks! ;-)

    Bart,

Here at the MindTouch blog we mostly write about MindTouch, our technology, application in the enterprise, customers etc… But we also regularly write about the software industry at large, open source, cloud software, WOA, charities we participate in and other topics not directly related to MindTouch. Yes, every great once a while we’ll write about MindTouch RESTful IPA, a home brew that we’re bottling.

Perhaps you’re right though, MindTouch could run a less focused blog at another URL. At the very least, we’ll do a better job categorizing these off topic posts. Thanks for you interest in MindTouch and your comments.
