The Gilbane Group, a leading industry analyst firm, recently published “Smart Content in the Enterprise”. You can get it here, after a quick sign up. It’s a very thorough look at how smart content is a natural evolution of structured content, delivering richer, value-added functionality. (Side note: The Gilbane Group also just completed an exhaustive review of one of our customer’s deployments of a MindTouch Product Help Community. I’ll be blogging on that tomorrow.)
For those of you who might be new to the MindTouch Blog, there’s plenty of helpful resources to be found on the subject of intelligent content, creating product help communities to drive revenue and lower support costs, etc. But with the IC conference coming up, I thought it’d be a good time to revisit the videos from last year’s LavaCon conference – and hear what the industry’s most respected content strategists were saying on the subject.
First up, Ann Rockley of the Rockley Group, one of the industry’s foremost providers of thought leadership in the areas of content strategy, as well as the presenters of the Intelligent Content Conference itself.
Next up, a quick interview with Sarah O’Keefe, of Scriptorium Publishing. Sarah works with her clients to help them evaluate and implement which technologies make the most sense for them, when it comes to structured content creation, across a wide range of industries.
Lastly, LavaCon wouldn’t have been an official content strategy conference if we weren’t able to hear from the Content Wrangler himself, Scott Abel.
If these discussions piqued your interest, the Intelligent Content Conference is something you should consider. It’s being held in Palm Springs this year; If you live anywhere east of the Rockies, I’m sure you’re already booking your flight.
