This post is a rerun of information posted in our September newsletter. We’ve seen such success with Social Login that I’m pulling it out of the newsletter and highlighting it as a stand alone blog post.

One of our primary goals for MindTouch TCS is to enable your customers to not only use your products better, but to love using your products. In order to do that, we encourage them to be an active part of your community. One of the first steps toward participation is encouraging people to sign up. As seen on our own site, offering social logins as a way to encourage sign up can skyrocket participation.

User participation via social login shot up when we introduced it nearly two months ago. Since then, we’ve seen a steady, organically driven 37% increase in the rate at which users become engaged in asking questions, rating content, and subscribing to notifications. What does that mean for you? We also saw a 220% increase in number of users in the same time period.

Takeaways? Don’t lock your content behind a firewall and don’t shy away from letting your users directly engage with it. If you must lock your content from the public MindTouch makes it easy for you to permission some content to yield SEO and customer engagement benefits. If you want an active community giving valuable feedback, MindTouch TCS with social logins is the first step on the participation ladder.
