SAN DIEGO, December 03, 2009 — MindTouch, the open source alternative to Microsoft SharePoint, today announced it was named one of the top 100 companies in the digital content industry by EContent Magazine. The enterprise collaboration company was recognized in the collaboration and intranets and portals categories.
“This award is a reflection of our success in enabling many millions of users to connect and customize enterprise systems, social tools and web services,” said Aaron Fulkerson, MindTouch founder and CEO. “The MindTouch platform changes how companies collaborate.”
Winners were selected by the editorial staff, contributing editors, and professional colleagues of EContent Magazine based on market share, thought leadership and technology innovation.
The EContent Magazine recognition adds to MindTouch’s growing list of achievements throughout the past year including:
- Forrester Research citing MindTouch as the best product alternative to industry heavyweights Microsoft and IBM;
- CIO Magazine citing MindTouch as one of 11 open source companies to watch;
- The Jolt product excellence award for best enterprise tool;
- The San Diego Business Journal recognizing MindTouch as one of the best places to work in San Diego and honoring Aaron Fulkerson as one of the most inspiring CEOs.
In addition to the industry and media accolades, MindTouch continues economy-defying success with seven quarters of double digit revenue growth, realizing more revenue in the first half of 2009 than the entire previous year.
The EContent 100 list will be published in the December 2009 issue of the magazine.
